One conversation at a time has been the mantra of the Learning Technologies team build by Dr. Stephen Druggan at Munich International School. Why? Because no one is in the exact same place when it comes to comfort and experience in transparently using learning technologies. Catch-all PD sessions are only truly effective when one is dealing with a topic with which everyone is on equal footing. Instead, a more fitting approach would be to have a designated person available (Learning Tech Specialist, Curriculum Coordinator, etc.) to work with teachers one-on-one and in small groups. Growth can and will happen organically. Any kind of growth, however, requires the correct combination of proverbial sunlight and water. These conditions are best created with a school-wide focus but individual attention.
