In the 1 to 1 classroom, it is easy to share a screen with the whole class simply by connecting to a projector. Needing to do so, however, does not need to tie you to the four walls of your classroom. Whether you want to enjoy the great outdoors with your students as they work or want to make use of a space without projection facilities, use of a site like join me (basic features are free) or a system your school is already running can help make learning more mobile.
Join me also can give collaborating students or students and tutors who choose to work together electronically outside of school hours a chance to share screens as well. You can also do this with Skype.
Screensharing is just one of many ways you can add mobility and interest to your students’ learning experiences. Take time to think about other ways you can help students learn on the move to help pay homage to various learning styles.
Thanks for this post! I'm searching for new ways to work with my students. And a lot of blogs are talking about a projector. So will definitely try it!
